Open Regedit

 Browse to {hkey_LOCAL_Machine\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall

Right click on Uninstall and select export. Save the key to c:\temp and name it ininstall.reg
This will back up this key in case you make a mistake and delete the wrong registry key.

Now look through the key;s under Uninstall and find the program that you want to remove so it does not appear in Add and Remove Programs any more. Once you find the key, right click on the folder, for example Oracle JInitiator 1.3.1.26, and chose delete.

Go back in to Add and Remove Programs . You should no  longger see the application (key) that you just deleted.. In my example, I would no longer see JInitiator 1.3.1.26 in my Add and Remove programs.
