This is a list of event ID’s for Windows Vista and Windows XP. This is work in progress. Meaning as I discover new ID’s or people email them to me, I’ll add them…

Event ID 0
Media center in Vista failed to download content from a website

Event ID 3
Virtual Disk Space: usually just informational about starting the service

Event ID 6
The bios has not assigned an IRQ to a device. Make sure the device is not old therefore may not support plug and play.

Event ID 7
The device has a bad block. For example like on a CD-ROM or hard drive.

Event ID 9
The device that is being called is not available to be opened. This can be seen when the is a portable hard drive or a thumb drive.

The Vista printer spooler is unable to share the local printer

This error is caased when Vista did not go into sleep mode corretly. Either the power button was push or the power was lost is the most common source of this problem.
